MOST SUCCESSFUL MANAGER . . .  DAVID LAW  1990-1998
Dave a former schoolteacher, now Director of Sport at Ashton-on-Mersey School started  his  football career with  Stretford Boys at 16 years of age. Played one season at Manchester City  for the 'B' team,  then he moved on to Old Alts in the Manchester League. Spent the next sixteen years  at Flixton FC as a player, groundsman, programme editor, secretary, assistant manager & finally as manager.
In five seasons Dave took Flixton from the Manchester League to the N.W.C.L. Division One. 
In 1990 he became a founder member & manager of North Trafford (now Trafford) & has taken them from the Mid Cheshire League Division Two to the North West Counties League Division One Championship & promotion to the Unibond League in season 1996-97.
In that same season he was voted N.W.C.L. Manager of the Year. During their debut season in the Unibond League Dave led Trafford to the Unifilla Cup Final beating Lincoln United 3-1 on their ground. Due to increasing work commitments Dave stepped down in December 1998, but he is still involved with the club organising  fund raising events and is our Press Secretary.
